The Jeanne Kelly Fund – In Honor of our Founder and her Legacy

As Encore continues to grow, now is a perfect time to honor a woman who has dedicated over five decades of her life to the pursuit of excellence in the field of music as a performer, conductor, teacher and administrator. Her passion for, and service to, singers over 55 is unparalleled, bringing to the spotlight the magic and power of older adult singers and their valuable contributions to our community.

The Jeanne Kelly Fund provides funding for five major initiatives and goals for Encore Creativity:

  1. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility: We want every older adult to experience the power of the arts. With funding from the Jeanne Kelly Fund, we will create programs in under-resourced communities and provide tuition assistance when needed.
  2. Expansion of Arts for Life: These programs, our Sentimental Journey Singers and Melody Makers programs, are for those with cognitive change and their care partners. Funds also support other arts and wellness-related programs including pilot programs for all stages of memory care.
  3. National Expansion of Encore Chorales: Each new Encore ensemble requires $7500 in funds for every new location across cities and states in our great nation. This funding will go toward bringing new Encore Chorales and ROCKS programs throughout the nation,
  4. Talent Recruitment and Retention: This pillar goes toward retention and recruitment of the very best in artistic personnel. This would also include internship programs to elevate the future generation of leaders with higher education institutions.
  5. Expansion of Encore University: Online arts and education programs, such as Encore University and our other online offerings, are meant to make the arts accessible virtually and inclusive across the nation. We seek to expand out online presence to create a palate of education offerings and to continue to make the arts accessible virtually.

These are BIG ideas that will take generous supporters and major gifts. Please contact Joshua Vickery at joshua.vickery@encorecreativity.org to discuss your area of passion.

Donors may engage their own legal or tax counsel as they consider gifts, but this counsel must not be Encore’s legal counsel.
