Encore Creativity for Older Adults brings Encore Chorale back to the Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center in Silver Spring for our second year this fall! In its first year, the Chorale grew to be one of Encore's largest with over 60 singers coming together every week for music and fun. Join the over 400 older adult singers who meet weekly around the MD/DC/VA area to explore their voices and learn challenging and fun choral repertoire under professional conductor Jeanne Kelly. If you have sung sometime in your life, want to return to singing, or have sung your entire life, join the Encore Chorale at Margaret Schweinhaut Senior Center The class is instructive as well as enjoyable. Learn proper breathing techniques and how to improve your speaking and singing voice as Kelly guides singers through weekly rehearsals in three- and four-part singing. Kelly is the former director of the Levine School of Music Arlington Campus, and was conductor of the Georgetown University Concert Choir, and Music Director of the U.S. Naval Academy Women’s Glee Club. She founded Encore Creativity for Older Adults, a nonprofit organization. There are currently fourteen Encore Chorales in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
