If you love to sing, love Rock and Roll, and want to have a great time with like-minded singers, you'll love Encore ROCKS Glen Echo, a Rock n Roll Chorus! The fall selections will include music you loved growing up - and maybe a few things your kids loved, too! ENCORE ROCKS Glen Echo rehearses Wednesdays at 1:30pm at Glen Echo Park in Bethesda, MD in the Ballroom Annex. The street address is 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Bethesda, MD 20812.
The fee is $185 and will include 15 90-minute rehearsals, expert instruction under the direction of Encore's Associate Artistic Director Jeffrey Dokken, sheet music, a rehearsal CD in your voice part, and concert performance for friends, family and the community at the end of the 15 week session. The Chorale Masters are Andrea Wollock and David Lloyd.
All music will be three and four part harmony, challenging and educating singers of all abilities and skill levels. There are no auditions, singers may be seated for rehearsals and performances if they wish, and you do not need to be able to read music to participate.

Encore is privileged to have Jeffrey Dokken as a member of our distinguished faculty of choral conductors, serving as Associate Artistic Director with responsibility for the ENCORE ROCKS Program. He conducts the ENCORE ROCKS rock n roll choruses at Annapolis, Alexandria, DC and Glen Echo. Additionally, he leads the Alexandria Encore Chorale and shares conducting duties with Jeanne Kelly at the Glen Echo Chorale and Goodwin House Baileys Crossroads.
Maestro Dokken is one of today’s most exciting and vibrant conductors, composers, and musicians. Over the past decade, Jeff has performed all across the United States, and in some of America’s greatest venues including the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. In October, 2011, Jeff traveled to Guayaquil, Ecuador to sit on an elite three member international adjudication panel for the Guayaquil Symphony Orchestra, the national orchestra of Ecuador. The past two years, Mr. Dokken has had the distinct pleasure of getting to conduct in the the White House in Washington D.C. as a part of "Holidays at the White House."

The Rockers outdid themselves at their first spring concert on Sunday April 23rd at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington, DC. The Glen Echo Rockers were out in force, joining the Rockers from Alexandria, Annapolis, DC and Reston.. Watch the entire presentation and be impressed!
The Encore ROCKS choruses of Alexandria, Annapolis, DC, Glen Echo and Reston performed one of two spring concerts at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington, DC on May 23, 2017. Encore Associate Artistic Director Jeffery Dokken Conducted. Also featured was the Encore ROCKS Band: Ken Hall, Guitar; Raice McLeod, Drums; and John Starr, Bass and Wind Synthesizer. Raleigh Romine narrated "Rock Roll and Remember," a tribute to Dick Clark and American Bandstand.
